April Evans is a teacher at Vista Peak Exploratory, in Aurora, Colorado where she has taught preschool and first grade for fifteen years. April graduated from Drake University in 2007 and acquired her Masters in literacy in 2020. Since being introduced to a high-quality curriculum like Wit & Wisdom, April’s passion has been literacy. Being LETRS and Keys to Literacy trained, as well as facilitating professional development for Great Minds, and being a Goyen Fellow, are just a few of her recent accomplishments. Outside of teaching and learning about literacy, April loves to spend time in the Colorado mountains with her son.
