Breanna Jagodzinski is a 6th grade English language arts teacher at Houston Academy within Aldine Independent School District, in Houston, TX. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, emphasizing in English language arts. Since starting her career in 2019, Jagodzinski has been awarded Rookie Teacher of the Year (2019-2020), Campus Teacher of the Year (2020-2021), Aldine ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year (2020-2021), and was a finalist in the Region IV Elementary Teacher of the Year Awards program (2020-2021). Jagodzinski is passionate about everything literacy — whether it be her work as an educator, curriculum writer, or district presenter, she believes the capacity of what literacy can change within students’ lives is infinite.
