Catlin Goodrow
Catlin Goodrow has been on a quest to learn more about research-aligned reading instruction since she finished her first year of teaching in 2004, and saw how much benefit her students got from explicit and systematic instruction in phonics. Since then, she has taught first and second grades, coached teachers and leaders, developed and delivered professional development, and written curriculum for kids as young as infancy, up through eighth grade. Currently, she teaches intervention to children in grades 3-5, and coaches teachers in those grades at a charter school in Spokane, WA. Catlin has a master’s in teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education. When not teaching reading, tweeting about reading, or reading about reading instruction, Catlin can be found birding or watching science fiction TV shows.
