Danielle Washington is an 8th grade teacher, a new teacher mentor, and a host teacher at Henderson Hopkins, a Prek-8 school in Baltimore, Maryland. She holds a BA in English and will graduate with a MA in Leadership in Teaching in Spring 2025. Throughout her time at Henderson Hopkins, Danielle took on, and continues to take on, many responsibilities: promotion ceremony coordinator, ELA lead, recruiting officer, academic coach, and team lead. She is passionate about students developing literacy skills to improve lives by expanding capabilities and opportunities. Danielle believes that reading builds knowledge and knowledge is power to overcome adversity within the world. Outside of the classroom, Danielle enjoys spending time with her two sons, skating, traveling, and reading urban novels.
