Margarita Cruz is a high school instructional specialist with a passion for working with newcomer students. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and was named Secondary ESL TOY by the Texas Association of Bilingual Educators, 2022. As a former ELL student, she felt the desire to become an educator from a young age. She has served the greater Houston area as a high school English teacher and ELL Specialist for 10 years. Ms. Cruz is committed to being a lifelong learner in order to provide all students with the tools and support they need to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom.
