Monica Stephenson is a teacher, tutor, and mentor of structured literacy. Currently, she teaches third grade in Washington, D.C. This is her 20th year teaching. In 2021, she started a tutoring company, Imani Tutoring, to close the literacy gap. she also mentors teachers at the DC Reading Clinic where she helps teachers learn how to use structured literacy in their classrooms.
